Rhotia Valley Lodge is located in the rolling hills of the Rift Valley, about 20 minutes from the village of Karatu and 30 minutes from Lake Manyara National Park. Surrounded by beautiful nature, this intimate lodge offers 15 comfortable tents, featuring a kingsize bed and en-suite bathroom.
All rooms have a private veranda with breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro forest, the nearby villages and the terraces of local farmers. The restaurant is built in traditional African style and serves delicious local vegetable and fruits from its own garden, homemade bread and fresh yogurt. In addition, there is a cozy open-air fire place, terrace and a swimming pool.
Within walking distance is the Rhotia Valley Childrens Home where you can meet the children who live and go to school here, founded by the Dutch couple Joris and Marise. The profit of the lodge directly supports the project to provide these children a safe home, education and the care they need.
