Wondering why you should travel during low season? Check out our 5 reasons why Tanzania is so special during green season!

Day 1     Arrival Tanzania

Your private guide will welcome at Kilimanjaro International Airport and bring you to your lodge for overnight stay. Arusha Coffee Lodge is nestled in one of Tanzania’s largest coffee plantations and is the perfect haven to acclimatize before starting your journey in Tanzania.

Day 2     Arusha

No rushing or waking up early after arriving from your long journey yesterday. Today you have the full day to unwind in the lush gardens of the lodge, the intimacy of your chalet or at the inviting swimming pool. In the afternoon you can join a coffee tour on a nearby plantation to see how Tanzanian coffee is grown, harvested, dried and roasted. End the day with a sip of the aromatic coffee and fine dining in the restaurant.

Day 3     Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Time to start your safari adventure! Your private guide will be waiting for you in the morning and take you for a short comfortable drive to Tarangire National Park. Once inside the park, you will slowly head southwards to your accommodation with abundant game viewing en route. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before reaching the comfort of Little Oliver’s Camp, in the heart of Tarangire.

Day 4     Tarangire National Park

A full day to discover the wonders of Tarangire! Thanks to the unique, remote location of your safari lodge, you will not see many other tourists and have the blissful feeling that you have the park to your own! Go in search of the elusive kudu, the leopards near the Swala swamp and the large herds of elephants looking for shade under the big baobab trees.

Day 5     Tarangire – Ngorongoro Crater

With a game drive en route, we calmly head back to the bustling north of the national park and then make our way towards the Great Rift Valley. Have a stop in the charming village of Mto wa Mbu, before we continue to the famous Ngorongoro Crater. Our final destination for today is Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp, set in a delightful ancient acacia forest close to the rim of the magnificent crater.

Day 6     Ngorongoro Crater

Today you will descend deep into the Ngorongoro Crater for an impressive game drive. Thanks to being located closely to the quiet access road on the eastern side, you will reach the crater floor hours ahead before most other guests are making their way into the crater. Explore this ‘Eight Wonder of the World’ with its large prides of lions, zebras, wildebeest and buffaloes. With some luck you may even find the rare Black Rhino. In the course of the afternoon return to the comfort of your lodge for a romantic sundowner.

Day 7     Ngorongoro Crater – Serengeti National Park

Your next adventure will take place in Serengeti National Park; the ultimate “Out of Africa” experience. While game spotting you will leave the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and enter the legendary savanna plains of the Serengeti. We head to the game-rich Seronera Valley in Central Serengeti, that is known for its beautiful scenery and dramatic game viewing. You will stay two nights at Lemala Ewanjan Tented Camp, a stylish tented camp with luxurious safari tents and uninterrupted views across the valley.

Day 8     Serengeti National Park

Immerse yourself in the splendors of the Serengeti with a full day game viewing in the park. Explore the incredible concentration of wildlife such as buffaloes, cheetahs, hippos, giraffes and elephants. In April the Great Wildebeest Migration is starting to move from the southern plains towards the west, passing (the southern part of) central Serengeti. Your safari camp makes a perfect place to witness the gigantic herds, often closely followed by hungry big cats like lions and leopards.

Tip: Enhance your luxury safari with a hot air balloon ride! Rise gently and float above the scenic wilderness while you enjoy the breathtaking panoramas. End your balloon safari in style with a champagne breakfast served in the middle of the bush!

Day 9     Serengeti – Zanzibar

Spend your last morning in the Serengeti with some final wildlife viewing before your guide will chauffeur you to the airstrip. A small aircraft will fly you to the unspoiled beaches of Zanzibar. Indulge yourself in the luxury of Diamonds La Gemma Dell’Est, a five star resort with lush tropical gardens right at Nungwi Beach.

Located in the northwest part of the island at one Zanzibar’s most precious beaches, this all-inclusive resort is the perfect place to unwind after the thrill of your safari. Spoil yourself with a treatment in the African Rain Spa, soak up the sun at the stunning white beach or sip an exotic cocktail at the lagoon-style swimming pool. Let yourself be carried by the scents and flavours of Zanzibar, creating a perfect end of a dream holiday.

On the last day you will be transferred to Zanzibar Airport for your domestic flight to Dar es Salaam. We wish you a safe and comfortable journey home and most importantly many unforgettable memories of this beautiful and amazing country.
